CONCEPT:
A fragrance that draws from Ancient Rome and immortal imaginary of Imperial Age to explore primordial and eternal emotions, yet terribly current. Satyricon is the “bright side" of Dionysian: the vital energy, the thrill of pleasure, the power of transgression. It is also the first fragrance created by Angelo Orazio Pregoni along with new emerging noses of sui generis “academy/movement” WET DREAM - Coming Perfumery.

NAMING:
A homage to the immortal masterpiece of Petronius Arbiter and the works it has inspired, from painting to sculpture, to Fellini’s movies, of which it recovers the surreal and decadent mood in an olfactory perspective, and Pasolini’s ones too (he called his "Petronio" "a modern Satyricon").

SYMBOL:
A yellow circle.

PACK:
Black bakelite and clear glass, hand finished. The shape of the cap refers to the big braziers that adorned temples and halls of Roman houses and in which, during the Dionysian rites, sacred woods as incense were burned.

AD:
Angelo Orazio Pregoni turns himself into a Satyr to break the rules of perfumery in an orgiastic olfactory rite.

MEDIA:
Satyricon has given rise to many articles that have analyzed the olfactory facets and not only them, finally appreciating its characteristics of conceptual work with various influences, from Classical Culture to Pop culture, including literature, theater and cinema.

AS:
Inebriating, sensual, holy, profane.

An olfactory experience that leads us back in time through the senses, in the middle of an orgiastic ritual, including hints of foods, spices, wine and fruit, alcoholic macerations and animal smells, but that immediately goes back to the divine plan – thanks to a formidable incense – and mixes fluids and sweat of human bodies, joining holy and profane, sex and religion in a balance that was just of the ancient creeds.
